Because aviation safety is so important to us, AES provides the most comprehensive, effective and efficient aviation English training to pilots, controllers and aviation professionals, worldwide, and guaranteed.
Airline professionals know that aviation terminology is unique to the business, and unfortunately most English language instructors know nothing about airline operations. That’s why our Aviation English Education program, AvEd, is built on these three principles:
- Pillar I: An Aviation English course to meet the new ICAO requirements must teach both general English language proficiency and the specific vocabulary and language unique to airline operations.
- Pillar II: Decision-making in non-native aviation environments requires special modes of thinking only learned through modeling and mentoring by experienced aviation peers.
- Pillar III: Emergencies demand instant reactions, and language and actions must be automatic to achieve safe outcomes. Aviation “automaticity” is language proficiency plus knowledge, good judgment and self-confidence.
